About Us!

The North Florida Christian Bass Club may be a little different than other clubs you are familiar with.  We are solely a recreation and fellowship club.  Our focus is on good wholesome recreation with a little healthy competition mixed in.  In light of that, we don't pay out cash prizes (except classic) for our tournament winners.  Instead, we operate on a point system and reward with trophies at the end of our season.  We believe this is a key element to the camaraderie we experience within our membership.  

Our club is independent and not affiliated with or connected to any other organization.  We operate based on Christian principles, but we do not adhere to the doctrines of any specific Church or denomination.  We do not require our members to be a member of any Church or other religous organization, but we do expect them to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with biblical principles. 

We fish 9 regular club tournaments each year, begining in April, and end our season with a Classic in March in which we travel up to 250 miles.  Classic qualification requires participation in at least five regular season tournaments.  In September each year, we host a charity benefit tournament which is not part of our regular tournament schedule.  We also take off the month of December for the holiday season.  All tournaments are scheduled for the third Saturday of the month with a meeting on the preceding Thursday evening.

Annual dues are $25 and tournament fees are $20 per angler with an optional $5 "Big Bass" pot at each tournament.  There are reduced fees for junior anglers under the age of sixteen.  We also waive dues and tournament fees for our senior members over the age of sixty-five. 

Since there are no cash payouts, the club is able to completely fund its operations.  The club also pays for most of the classic expenses of qualified members including meals and lodging.  Our annual awards banquet is also funded by the club.
